MY GALLERY * ALTERNATE
GALLERY * OTHER GALLERIES
Every one needs a variety of artists in
their lives. Can you imagine if we were
all the same?! I can’t! Many artists have touched my life in the
past as well as for the rest of my life.
Some of the masters of the past are obvious, but some of my favorites
were: Matisse for his colors, Van Gogh
for his textures, Kathe Kollwitz for her feeling and Alice Neal for her
audacity and quirkiness.
I’ve learned and reshaped my work
continually over the years, but two of my art instructors impacted my life and
style so greatly that I wanted to mention them. Bryan Grove taught me that art is So Far Beyond just a pretty
picture, and Sam Gilliam showed me that color and texture could make or brake
the piece.
Here are a few artists and online galleries
that I have current contact with and I’m sure you’ll enjoy their work as much
as I do.
